About this listen

Poet Meenpiyasi is a very renowned poet from Gujarat. His actual name was DinkarRai Keshavlaal Vaidya. And Meenpiyasi was his Takkhalus (Pen name) so He wrote all his works specially poetries under the name Meenpiyasi.
He belongs to a very small village called Chuda, it is in Surendranagar district and located near Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Besides Meenpiyasi's mastery in poetry, he was an ardent ornithologist, theosophist, and astronomer (He used to study sky, stars, and universe very keenly.) And He has written many books on all the subjects of his interest. He was very much attached to the nature and it reflects in his poetry and all his works. That’s why many people call him a lover of nature. He breathed his last at age of 90.

In this episode of Kaavya, Meepiyasi's grandson pays him a tribute by reciting some of his timeless works.
