Empathy is powerful—but it ain't enough! As a culture, not only are we obsessed with empathy but we treat it like superman. As if it's invincible and the perfect cure to all ills. But Jesus tells a different story. True healing requires not just validation, not just empathy, but redemption, resurrection, and mercy. Empathy is important, but so is action, so is forgiveness, and so is redemption!
