Per capire la genesi di Darko Maver, dobbiamo fare un salto indietro e immergerci nel mondo underground dell'Italia degli anni '90. Siamo a Bologna, nel 1994, all’epoca una fucina di idee e sperimentazioni al limite del consentito. Qui un gruppo di individui iniziò a utilizzare il nome "Luther Blissett" per creare una varietà di interventi pubblici: flash mob, street art, happening, trasmissioni radiofoniche. Era da questo fertile terreno culturale che sarebbe nato il progetto più audace: creare un artista dal nulla e farlo arrivare fino alla Biennale di Venezia.
