About this listen
Shownotes:
03:44 - Here’s a quick article on the difference between the Lunar and Solar calendar.
05:01 - Some notes on the Hoa Dao flower.
05:01 - Notes from Chau Anh’s research: Hoa dao is one of the most popular flowers used for Tet, and it’s believed to bring happiness, peace, wealth, and health. Some others include hoa mai, hoa lan, and more. (Since Tet is such a huge holiday in Vietnam, the days leading up to it are probably some of the most wonderful you’ll witness, because you always see people carrying these flowers or moving these flowers around the streets in preparation. Very floral scenes.)
