 From the near future, Kid talks with Izzy on 2021 Instagram, describing a world devastated by floods and pollution. He’s escaped by the skin of his teeth from a terrifying encounter, mind to mind, with someone insanely famous and powerful. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Back at the beginning of Kid’s story, we meet him and his friends Eliza and Pas, whooping it up in the ruins of London as they go on ‘Scav Squad’ duties in search of supplies for their people. The Offliners, the underground tribe, the outsiders rebelling against a totally digital future.
