El (ab)uso animal que sustenta estas celebraciones es invisibilizado de múltiples formas. Por eso, para poner el foco en las équidas que son involucradas en tradiciones humanas, hemos hablado con Mara Martinez Morant. Ella es Doctora en antropología social y cultural, y fundadora de este grupo: Antropología de la Vida Animal. Como investigadora independiente ha dedicado gran parte de su labor a entender a las équidas, estudiando su comportamiento dentro de los grupos familiares, sus intereses, así como sus relaciones entre conespecíficos y con las humanas.
