• 13. Josh Quattlebaum - What It's Like Raising Cattle and How Does a Bull Break His Penis?
    Apr 16 2023

Josh Quattlebaum joins Entertainingly Educational for this episode. Josh owns JCQ Farms in Saluda, SC. He is a small cattle producer and farmer who provides locally grown crops and beef to consumers.

    Topic shakedown:

    - How does a bull break his penis and what happens to him afterwards?

    - Can we tell if our grocery store beef was raised in the US or not?

    - Where to find locally raised beef.

    - Insights on ordering bulk beef from your local farmer.

    - What is driving the loss of so many farms in America.

We discuss what it's like to be a small time cattle producer and how the pricing market is driven by 4 large meat packers. Josh shares some numbers on the amount of beef that is raised in places like Mexico and South America, then shipped to the US and packaged as "Product of the US".

One of the most interesting topics we discussed was the United States cattle heard is at its lowest since 1961 and it is the third lowest ever. That's a scary for what the price of beef might look like in the next few years.

  • 11. Extroverting as an Introvert with Meredith Hackwith Edwards The Curious Introvert
    Mar 22 2023

Meredith from the Meredith For Real Podcast joins us for this episode. I was curious as to which direction this episode would go. We're both feathers in the wind, a little ADDish, but I was confident that the journey Meredith would take us would be fun.

We discussed being an introvert living as an extrovert, selling Mary Kay, learning sign language to cheat on tests, Hispanic and Persian culture and food, and a few other topics.

Meredith has a great podcast with intriguing guests and she has a knack for getting them to open up.

  • 10. The Explorers Podcast and Why College Athletes Should Get Paid
    Mar 7 2023

I go solo for this episode. It's been hectic the last two weeks and I missed putting out an episode. I've been wanting to put out a solo episode once a month as a short rambling of books I have listened to on audio or something that I found interesting.

This episode I talk about the Explorers Podcast. I do not know Matt the host, his podcast is phenomenal! It's put together like something you would find on the History Channel or National Geographic. I listened to the most recent episodes from the last two months and then went all the way to the first podcast he put out and started from there. It's the first podcast I have ever binged. If you like history, especially history of exploring, you have to go listen.

I also give some opinions on the NIL and college athletes getting paid. We have kids putting their bodies on the line for millions of dollars, which they have never seen a penny of. Now they have an opportunity to make some money from their hard work and dedication and ability.

Let me know if you have someone you would like to hear on the podcast. Shoot me and email at yallookapodcast@gmail.com or message me at the website https://www.podpage.com/entertainingly-educational/

On this episode, we welcome Randy, 628 Dirt Rooster from YouTube. Randy has one of the best honeybee channels on social media. I had an audio issue where my squeaky chair loud as hell in the background, I do apologize for the less than stellar audio. This was a long episode. I recommend putting your playback on 1.5x to 2x speed and sit back to enjoy two country folk talking about bees.  We discuss: Being a hobby beekeeper Can you make money with backyard bees? What are Africanized bees? Are honeybees native to the US? What is it like to get stung 80 plus times during a bee removal. What you should do if you have bees in your home.
