  • Emily Proud was a four-year D1 student-athlete on the women's soccer team at Belmont University in Nashville, TN, majoring in Journalism and wrote for the Belmont Vision, the school's newspaper. She then went on to work as a sports anchor at a Knoxville ABC News affiliate covering all sports for the University of Tennessee before moving back to Nashville to work for WKRN as a sports and weekend news anchor. She's currently the anchor and host at CBS Sports and 24/7 Sports, where she talks all things football, basketball, and college recruiting. She's super open about her experiences being a sportscaster, handling online hate, and leaning into her authentic personality.
