Welcome to the latest edition of TSG Talk. When we are attending multiply injured people there is an expectation that the emergency services will provide optimal care, whether this is actual treatment or the wider management of the scene. How do we do this when it’s really cold, what effect does operating in the cold have on us if were not prepared correctly, and what can we do to ensure that we are equipment with skills and equipment to work effectively.
Sgt Rob Simpson from Cheshire Rural Crime wanted to find the answers to these questions, to do so organised a truly outstanding event “Exercise Winter Storm” Rob will take us through the exercise and outline some of the key findings that can assist us provide optimal care should we find ourselves out in the cold
