About this listen
For whatever reason, some people love to label Elvis as a thief of black artists. When in reality it was a segregated American culture, mixed with crooks in the music industry, that deserve the blame for black artists not being given the same opportunities as white artists. Elvis was inspired by those artists and helped to open the doors for many of them.
