Armado con una lata de petróleo, una mecha encendida y un coraje sin fisuras, se lanzó solo hacia las líneas enemigas para incendiar el poblado de los sitiadores en Cascorro. Su hazaña, tejida de audacia y fuego, lo convirtió en símbolo de valor y resistencia. Desde entonces, su estatua vigila desde el Rastro, recordando a Madrid que, a veces, un solo hombre basta para cambiar el destino.
