Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz turned down what was classified as the largest contract in Cincinnati Reds history in spring of 2025, The Athletic’s C. Trent Rosecrans reported this past weekend. Rosecrans and Riverfront Territory co-host Danny Graves both believe the Reds were right to offer De La Cruz such a big payday and De La Cruz was right to turn it down.
