About this listen

Hi! Actor & Host Oon Shu An here, with my bestie, Rosie. My guilty pleasure: Giving Advice. So we’ve teamed up to give it to you! In case you were wondering:

Are we experts? No.
Do we always do what we know we should do? Absolutely not!
If you ASK us for advice, though, will we go against all good judgment and tell you what to do? Hell, yes!

After all, as with all advice, it is Easy To Say, because we don't need to do it ourselves! Sending so much love!

  • 20. I Got Turned On Sniffing My Friend's Shoe and Now He Doesn’t Want to be Friends with Me
    Dec 8 2024

The shoe is on the other foot in this episode's conundrum:

"My friend caught me sniffing their shoe and getting a hard on again, and now he's pissed off and won't reply to my messages. I can't stop the hard on or the temptation to have a quick whiff at shoes. How can I get my friend to accept me for who I am?"

  • 19. Do I Have Low Standards for My Husband?
    Dec 1 2024

In this episode, we debate if our writer has an issue with standards:

"I had a friends gathering recently at a friend's house, which was a 10-minute walk away from my place. It ended quite late, & my husband said he would walk over to pick me up. My friends invited him in for a drink, but he refused & he waited at the main road. My friends were all extremely shocked at his behaviour! Do I just have low standards? I'm fine with this, but my friend's reaction is making me worry. Do I have low standards? Am I not seeing something? Is there a problem I'm missing?"

  • 18. I May Have Dementia, Will It Take Our Love Away?
    Nov 24 2024

In this episode, we talk about facing the most dreaded thing any couple can face:

"I have been with my partner for a good number of years. We have built a home. We are blissfully in love, even after 15 years. And I love that we are in this relationship because we want to and not that we needed to. Recently, I received news on a diagnosis while we had bravely faced it together and had good conversations on it, a part of me worries and feels guilty that she would end up taking care of me for the rest of my life when I no longer am able. I fear that what I give her will no longer be love, but the dread of responsibility and accountability on her part. How do we truly embrace for better and for worse? How do I convince myself to believe that there is still love, even if one day she might not be able to see it from my eyes anymore?"
