About this listen

This week’s family dinner takes a wild ride. We imagine what life would look like if we hit the Powerball jackpot—though Mom still doesn’t quite grasp that being a billionaire means you can officially retire from chores. Kelly’s nurse chimes in with a very graphic medical story that left us all queasy (consider this your warning).

To lighten things up, the family plays a round of Would You Rather—and we’d love to hear your answers in the Facebook group! Later, the conversation turns to birthdays: at what age do we stop getting each other gifts? Matthew has strong opinions… shocking, we know.

It’s a mix of laughter, mild trauma, and a whole lot of sibling banter.

🌮 Mom’s Tortilla Recipe

As promised, if you caught our video, here’s Mom’s tortilla recipe. Just remember—she measures with her heart ❤️.

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups AP Flour

  • 1 ½ tsp Salt

  • ½ tsp Baking Powder

  • 1 Cup of Water

  • 1 Cube Unsalted Butter

Prep Time: <30 min Total Time: ~2 hours

Directions

  1. Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Melt butter in warm water.

  2. Slowly add water/butter into dry ingredients, kneading continuously until a smooth ball forms (about 5 minutes). Don’t add extra flour—it will come together.

  3. Cover with a warm towel for 15 minutes.

  4. Divide dough, roll into smooth balls, cover again with a damp towel.

  5. Roll out into circles on a floured counter.

  6. Cook on a medium-hot cast iron skillet until bubbles form. Flip and cook the other side 15–20 seconds, until done.
