桑名の海で育った海苔は、同じ“海苔”という言葉では語りきれない味わいを持っています。その海苔で包まれた「はまぐりの磯辺揚げ」は、まず磯の香りが立ち上がり、次の瞬間、静かな深みが口の中に広がります。桑名の海苔は、揖斐川・木曽川・長良川、三本の川が運ぶ森の養分と、伊勢湾から太平洋へと続く潮の流れが出会う場所で育ちます。上流の森では、式年遷宮に用いられる檜が、何百年もの時間をかけて育てられ、その恵みが川を通って海へ届きます。
