2026年から「ブロッコリー」が「指定野菜」になりました。「指定野菜」とは国民の食生活に不可欠で消費量が多い野菜を国が定めたものです。石川県加賀市は、 「ブロッコリー」の北陸最大の産地。「カガッコリー」という愛称で親しまれ、春・秋・越冬栽培でほぼ一年中出荷されています。これから春にかけて「越冬カガッコリー」が旬を迎えます。雪の下で育つことで甘味が増すそうです。70年代の減反政策への対策で地域に根づいたブロッコリー。「県ジンプロジェクト」を立ち上げ、名産品のブロッコリーでお酒のジンを作ることにしました。今年の前半にはできる予定です。
