About this listen
Healthy soil = healthy food = healthy people.
That’s the phrase that has led and continues to lead Rodale Institute. In this episode, Kristyn sits down for an in person interview with Jeff Tkach, Chief Impact Officer with Rodale Institute.
Kristyn and Jeff’s main focus is on how functional medicine isn’t all that different from regenerative agriculture. The farm is an ecosystem as our bodies are ecosystems, and these two approaches share the foundation that symptoms are information of a root cause issue and solution.
Other topics covered in this episode:
- We ask and answer the question, “Are farmers, like consumers, understanding that food is medicine?”
- Jeff gives us the State of the Union on Food is Medicine
- A definition of regenerative agriculture that is inclusive of human health
- Research Rodale Institute is doing on integrating healthcare and agriculture
- Tangible solutions for all of us to move towards a healthier, integrated ecosystem
Join us for this kick off episode as we continue to dive into all things soil health and human health with The Soil Collective!
