About this listen

Did you know that 9-12% of eating disorders are between females 5-80 years old? Did you know that Jewish girls could be up to double as likely to be diagnosed with an eating disorder? We are facing an Eating Disorder Pandemic that only got worse since the Covid Pandemic. 🧠 🍲 In this episode, I interview Dr. Marcy Forta who is the founder and director of Atzmi. @atzmi_org. Atzmi offers programs for prevention for the girls, for their parents, and for the educators. As a leading authority on eating disorder education and awareness within the Jewish Orthodox Adolescent Community, Marcy writes and lectures extensively about eating disorder awareness and prevention. 🧠🍲 Marcy sits down with me to talk about the prevalence of eating disorders, how to recognize a potential eating disorder, what we can do to prevent them from happening in the first place, what are some of the treatment plans, and so much more. 🧠🍲 What are some of the ways young girls and women can have healthy self esteem, self-compassion, a positive body image, and healthy relationships? Tune into episode 60 of Soul Sessions with KK to find out. ———————————————————- •You can find Dr. Marcy Forta of Atzmi on https://www.Instagram.com/atzmi_org •www.atzmi.org •This episode can also be found on https://linktr.ee/coach.kk. •If you enjoyed this episode, please hit the SUBSCRIBE button, leave a REVIEW, and SHARE with people who would be interested!
