  • Supporting Your Child
    Jan 28 2026

Welcome to this episode of the Dumpton School podcast, where we explore how parents and schools can work closely together to support children facing challenges in their educational journey.

In this episode, alongside Headmaster Christian Saenger, we’re joined by two expert voices:

    • Vicky Wakefield, Dumpton’s Head of SEND & Inclusion
    • Dr Alisha Azzopardi, Principal Clinical Psychologist and Founder of the Wimborne Psychology Practice

Together, they bring decades of experience across school-based and clinical support, and we hope that by combining educational and psychological perspectives today we can offer insight, advice, and reassurance to parents.

    Oct 17 2025

    Parenting - with loving boundaries.

Welcome to our episode on how can we best navigate challenging behaviour with our children and set ourselves up for better ways to respond.

What can we do at home and at school to manage challenging behaviours and understand any triggers which may not be immediately obvious?

We bring together insight from Dumpton Head of Pre-Prep, Kellie Wort, Principal Lecturer at the prestigious Norland College- Tamsin Grimmer and Mr Christian Saenger - Headmaster at Dumpton School. With years of experience in education and first-hand parenting, they share learnings and approaches we can take for better understanding of the parent/ child relationship.

  • Navigating a childhood of social media
    May 12 2025

Navigating a childhood of social media

Welcome to our episode on the use of social media and smart phone use in childhood. We bring together perspectives from Dumpton Headmaster Christian Saenger and Dumpton Head of Safeguarding, Sam Moulton and we have invited the voices of the younger generation.

We talk with some past pupils, now in Sixth Form at their senior school, Clayesmore, here in Dorset. We discuss navigating social media from these different perspectives and discuss how we can manage the influence of this in our lives.

Thank you to Huw and Wynn at Clayesmore School for sharing their experiences with us and we wish them the very best of luck with their final A-Level exams.
