About this listen

Hey Blue Devils, it's Jenny with your Campus Update for December 8 through December 15. Let's get you set for the week—fast. First up—Duke's football team clinched the ACC Championship with a thrilling 27-20 overtime victory against No. 16 Virginia. This marks our first outright ACC title since 1962. Next, our men's basketball team remains undefeated at 10-0 after a hard-fought 66-60 win over No. 7 Michigan State. Cameron Boozer led the charge with 18 points and 15 rebounds. And don't forget—final exams are underway this week. Make sure to check your exam schedule and locations to stay on top of your game. Over the weekend, our football team made history by securing the ACC Championship in a nail-biting overtime win against Virginia. Quarterback Darian Mensah connected with Jeremiah Hasley for the game-winning touchdown, and linebacker Luke Mergott sealed the deal with a clutch interception. On the hardwood, the men's basketball team edged out Michigan State, thanks to standout performances from Cameron Boozer and Caleb Foster. Boozer's double-double and Foster's timely three-pointer were key in maintaining our perfect record. Looking ahead, the men's basketball team faces off against the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill this Saturday at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Be sure to grab your tickets and support the team! This Tuesday, December 9, the Duke Houston Women's Forum is hosting a Holiday Party at The Owl Bar in Houston, Texas. It's a great opportunity to connect with fellow Duke women and celebrate the season. On campus, the annual "Winter Wonderland" event is happening on Friday, December 12, at the Bryan Center Plaza. Enjoy ice skating, hot cocoa, and festive music to get into the holiday spirit. For a cozy study break, check out the new seasonal menu at the West Union's Farmstead Café. Their peppermint mocha and gingerbread cookies are getting rave reviews. This week in Durham, expect chilly temperatures with a mix of sun and clouds. Monday brings a chance of snow, so bundle up and watch for slippery sidewalks. Midweek looks sunnier but still cold, so keep those layers handy. No major storms are expected, but it's always good to stay prepared. Your move: If you're planning to attend the men's basketball game against UNC this Saturday, be sure to secure your tickets early. They're selling fast, and you won't want to miss this classic rivalry. That's your quick Campus Update. I'm Jenny—catch you next Monday morning.
