    The Duke Blue Devils were able to surge in the second half to defeat the Texas Longhorns in the Dick Vitale Invitational, and we recap the first game of the season on Episode 765. Donald and Jason begin with the headlines from a game that was a tale of two halves in many respects. We then get into the good stuff, from the team defense to Cam Boozer’s second half to Isaiah Evans hitting a bushel of 3s to keep Duke moving forward. We love some of the things we saw and the fight we showed in once again overcoming a slower start. We then get into the things to improve, and there were plenty from the first official game of the season. The 7’1” Canadian center has been moving up the ranks quickly, and there’s a lot to like about the upside he possesses. After the break, we touch on the disappointing news of Kyle Singler’s arrest for his alleged role in a dispute with his girlfriend. We’ve sadly had to discuss Kyle Singler’s mental struggles that have continued to persist for most of the year, and this news only adds to the hole that Singler needs to emerge from, and we’re hoping he starts with the help he needs to turn it around.
