Today on Black Dragon Biker TV, we’re covering one of the most tragic motorcycle-related stories in recent memory — a devastating accident that led to the deaths of 20 innocent people.
The Tragedy – Kurnool Bus Fire, 20 Dead
In Kurnool, India, police have filed charges against Shivashankar, the biker responsible for a horrific bus fire that claimed 20 lives — even though he himself died moments before the explosion.
According to reports, Shivashankar and his passenger, Erriswami, had been drinking before getting on the bike. While riding in an intoxicated state, Shivashankar lost control, crashing into a road divider. The motorcycle then slid into the highway and was struck by a passing bus.
Seconds later — an explosion erupted, caused by two 12KV batteries and a shipment of smartphones on board the bus. Within moments, the vehicle was engulfed in flames.
Authorities have confirmed the following:
The crash was caused by reckless and intoxicated driving.
The explosion was intensified by the bus’s electronic cargo.
20 passengers were killed, and several others suffered severe burns.
CCTV footage later surfaced showing Shivashankar riding erratically and unsteadily at a fuel station just before the crash.
Police charged the deceased biker under Sections 281, 125(A), and 106(1) of the IPC for negligence and reckless driving.
