I sat down with Scott Burns, Dan Johnson, and Tim Hubbard and discussed the early days of the Tampa death metal scene. Birthed from Morrisound Studio in Tampa, Florida, these three guys were the ones that brought us the first sounds and images of bands like Savatage, Obituary, Death, Deicide, and so many others. I asked some tough questions and we get deep. This is a first of it's kind interview and we even get author David Gehlke on the phone to discuss his recent book Sessions, which features all of the recordings of Scott Burns with iconic images from Tim Hubbard.
