  • yula come, yula go (English)
    Aug 11 2026

Yula, or short-tailed shearwaters as they're called in English, travel one of the world's longest annual migrations.

Travelling the Pacific Ocean, even down into the icy Antarctic Southern Ocean, they return home each year to the islands around Lutruwita/Tasmania to rest after their journeys and raise their young.

Listen to the story of one yula amongst millions returning home to the islands, in the language of the Tasmanian Aboriginal People, Palawa Kani.

Dedicated to the late Aunty Wendal, who's laughter and hugs always felt like "coming home", and my Pop Dick Graham who first introduced me to the birds.

With thanks to the palawa kani Language Program and the Healthy Country Unit, Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre.

Production and mixing: Bedlam Music (Matthew Fargher)

Original score, sound design and sound mix by Sunless Studio.

  • The Heartbeat of Biik
    Aug 11 2026

A guided sensory journey into Wurundjeri Country, where the sounds of the possum drum, rain, river, wind, and ancestral presence invite deep remembrance. Through storytelling, Woiwurrung language, and sound, participants reconnect with Country, spirit, and kinship, experiencing an intimate ceremony of healing, belonging, and the ancient wisdom of Wurundjeri culture.

Dedicated to Aunty Vicky Nicholson-Brown for her guidance in Walert Drum reclamation, Djirri Djirri Dance Group for song and dance, my Elders for always trusting me, to the bubups and next generations, to my Ancestors for their guidance and support, and to Wurundjeri Country for sustaining us and looking after all who call it home.

  • Ngayu Kaminji Dungayn Jukaranga (Day at the Beach With My Nannies)
    Aug 11 2026

Ngayu Kaminji Dungayn Jukaranga is a story capturing the moment Trinity began spending time with her Nannies, asking them to teach her their language. It celebrates their cherished days at the beach - learning about local plants, animals and Country, speaking language, hunting traditional foods, and continuing the rich cultural practices that "ngananga bama" (our people) have carried on for thousands of years.

Kuku Yalanji translations by Sharon Walker. Acknowledging all my learnings from my Kami's Lilly Yougie and Doreen Ball and my Bimakay Linda Walker.
