    College and high school experiences have been very challenging for students and triggered exacerbations in mental health concerns, such as depression, anxiety and even suicidal ideation. Academic achievement and learning has been greatly impacted due to lack of experience on both ends; grades have become another performance measure for young adults and need to be taken into consideration when measuring "student success", to avoid internalization of  academia as the primary "purpose in life", which may trigger and exacerbate serious mental health concerns.
