About this listen

One is an Australian media legend who doesn’t shy away from toilet humour on the radio, the other has a proper job as a forensic psychologist. Amanda Keller and her best friend Anita McGregor are often seen walking around their neighbourhood or catching up over a cup of tea discussing the things we’re all talking about (or not talking about)

Double A Chattery is your weekly hit for smart, funny, dumb, engaging, and topical conversation.

  • RERUN: Sober-ish: The New Trend in Drinking
    Dec 24 2025

Amanda and Anita are taking a little holiday break. A chance to recharge, overindulge in tea, and maybe plan a few more of their famous walks. But we didn’t want to leave you high and dry without your dose of chatter, so we’ve lined up some of our favorite episodes to keep you company over the holidays.

Sober-ish: The New Trend in Drinking

The holiday season is upon us, and with it, a new trend: the rise of being sober-ish. In this episode, Amanda and Anita discuss drinking habits, the effects of alcohol on health, and the changing patterns of alcohol use among younger generations.

  • A Double A Chattery Christmas Special
    Dec 17 2025

It’s our final episode for the year, and it’s a special one!

Anita’s son Ben joins us in the studio while he’s home from Canada for Christmas. Ben is an advanced care paramedic, and we talk about the work he does, the situations he’s been in (from London’s busiest ambulance service to disaster response overseas), and what it takes to protect your mental health in a job where you see people on their worst days.

Then we circle back to something many of our teacups related to: how do you make Christmas feel like Christmas when you grew up with snow and cold… and now it’s blazing hot?

Thanks for being with us this year, teacups. We’ll see you in January. 🎄🫖

  • Think Before You Go "No-Contact"
    Dec 10 2025

This week on Double A Chattery, we wade into one of the trickiest topics there is: going no contact with family.

Anita breaks down what narcissism actually is as a clinical diagnosis, and why the word is being thrown around far too loosely online. Together, she and Amanda unpack the rise of adult children cutting off parents, TikToks about “narcissistic mums and dads,” and the messy reality behind those decisions.
