Jesus is a historical figure who is believed by Christians to be the Son of God and the Savior of the world. He was born in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago to Mary and Joseph, and he grew up in Nazareth. Jesus began his public ministry at the age of 30, traveling throughout Israel and preaching the good news of God's love and mercy. Jesus' teachings were based on love, forgiveness, and compassion for others, and he performed many miracles, such as healing the sick, feeding the hungry, and even raising the dead. His followers believed that he was the Messiah prophesied in the Jewish scriptures, who would come to save the people of Israel and establish God's kingdom on earth.
