  • Theo Konstantino - You Don't Need to Open the Briefcase
    May 19 2025

Comedian Theo Konstantino comes by and asks Danny to make Pastitsio (Greek Lasagna)

The two start with how Cinnamon in Pasta is a tricky thing to nail and Theo throws Danny a bone bringing up the New York Knicks. Sorry, Jayson Tatum.

Theo shifts to how he wasn't a big sports kid growing up even though he enjoyed it. This serves to be a springboard as the two discuss stopping a hobby because of skill level, why does it even matter to be "good" at something you view as a hobby, and the idea of forcing fun making it harder to have fun.

Danny talks about what might be his first stalker, and we hear about "Critical Hit Theo" who used to step over the line a little too much in verbal sparring matches.

  • A Mother's Day Special
    May 14 2025

Hooker Boy Studios hits the road for past guest (and sister) Meg Mele's first Mother's Day.

Joined by her husband Joe, the two share what it has been like the first few months of being a family. We hear what it was like going to the hospital with a birthing plan and realizing "well this plan isn't happening," the feelings of pivoting to a C-Section after multiple days of labor, and how even though it was hard for Meg to let others take the wheel while recovering from surgery, it was needed.

Past Guest, Mom, and now Grandma Susan Cascone makes a few appearances as well in between rocking the baby. She talks about what it's like being across the country for your daughter's stressful birthing process as well as the difference between being a Grandmother versus a Mother.

  • Sabrina D'Souza - Small but not Tiny
    Apr 14 2025

Human Being Sabrina D'Souza comes by and asks Danny to make Chilaquiles with Salsa Roja. Sabrina messaged Danny on Instagram something kind, and Danny had the completely normal reaction to say, "do you wanna be a guest on an episode of my podcast?"

After making friends with the animals of Kentucky, Sabrina talks being back in Boston, and more specifically, the same place she grew up in. Unfortunately, Sabrina coming back to Boston was not originally her plan. After waking up one morning with an impending sense that "something bad was going to happen," that something would later come in the form of a Breast Cancer diagnosis.

Sabrina tells us about "Cancer Crazies," the drive to keep being productive, and how it really is the little moments like enjoying a frozen yogurt that get us through the day.

  • Austin McCloud - THE HI HATS ARE TOO LOUD
    Mar 3 2025

Musician Austin McCloud comes by and asks Danny for Quinoa. The exact phrase was "I've been slamming Quinoa raw lately but I guess I should have it with something."

Austin talks making a record and what it takes to self produce an album. From the writing, to the recording, the mixing, and mastering, Austin mapped everything out and takes us through the process. We hear about renting an Air BnB instead of a studio because it was cheaper, how mixing songs became Austin's life for a little, and that when it was all said and done, Austin didn't plan for the praise he'd receive for the music.

  • Alex Giampapa - Nightcap at Your Place
    Feb 25 2025

Comedian Alex Giampapa comes by and asks Danny for a meat patty. Alex is on an elimination diet, he did not grow up eating like a junkyard dog.

Alex and Danny jump in talking about a few venues that have fallen to the wayside, one of which being where Alex shot his first special (that may or may not have involved mind altering substances) Alex continues to examine some changes he's experienced in his career and how sometimes good advice can become obsolete that you have to unlearn, but the wisdom will always be priceless.

Alex also talks about how despite a bleak political landscape we got to experience a Superbowl Halftime show for the ages and how he got in a fight with KFC from Barstool.

  • Andrew Della Volpe - Rolling the Snowball
    Feb 6 2025

Comedian Andrew Della Volpe comes back and defers to Danny for a meal pick. Danny had a craving for something and promises it's not a bit because it would be an awful one.

Some shop talk at the beginning, Andrew and Danny talk about how at points Comedy can feel like chasing a dragon, how frustrating it is to feel like you aren't progressing, and how sometimes the best way to recognize your progression is to go back to Day 1 and look at it zoomed out.

Andrew is getting married in the summer as well so we chat with the husband to be to ask him what are some things he think he'll be good at with the new relationship label as well as some things he might need to work on, but either way, he's ready and excited.
