Una celebración muy importante para los mexicanos tiene lugar cada 2 de noviembre para recordar a los seres queridos que han fallecido, se trata del Día de Muertos.
Esta fiesta tiene sus raíces en la época prehispánica que posteriormente se mezcló con las celebraciones cristianas traídas por los españoles. Algunos de los elementos en la ofrenda ofrecida son las imágenes de los difuntos, veladoras, flores de cempasúchil, papel picado de vibrantes colores, calaveritas de azúcar, frutas y por supuesto, los platillos y bebidas preferidos de aquellos a quienes ofrecemos este homenaje.
