Elisabeth Stöppler ist viel gefragte Opernregisseurin, hat sich in der Wagner-Szene u.a. mit ihrer Götterdämmerung in Chemnitz vor einigen Jahren einen Namen gemacht. Derzeit arbeitet sie an der Staatsoper Stuttgart an einer Neuinszenierung der Meistersinger von Nürnberg, ihre erste Beschäftigung mit diesem Werk.
