About this listen

Deadbeat. The podcast where you help me find my Dad.

During this podcast, I am hoping that you can help me discover something about myself. Most of my family tree! This podcast isn't just about a kid that feels neglected by their absentee parent, or chasing down unpaid child support. It's about the people that have let us down, and also the people who lift us up! I am a true crime podcast junkie. I love being part of a podcast to see what happens next, or to find out who knows what about the crime. The biggest mystery I have yet to try and find out more about is, who I really am? So let’s do it. Do you know something that can help me with the puzzle?

On tonight’s show I am going to talk to Jordan. He found his Dad after years of searching, with a big twist after finding him. He found out he had actually met and even worked with his Dad before he knew the connection. You will want to hear how his story played out. After our conversation I have a new found confidence and motivation and a lot of comfort. I also think I found a new friend, thanks again Jordan. In the same week I talked to Jordan, I got my AncestryDNA back.

    The results were surprising.

Thank you for joining me for episode 2 of Deadbeat. The podcast where you help me find my Dad.

In this episode I talk to my cousin Holly who was in grade 9 in 1978-1979.

She was THERE, right in the thick of it. I want to talk to her and hear what she thinks.

Maybe she will know something that will help me discover more of my family tree.

In episode 1, I speak with the closest person to me, my wife Jenn. I want to understand how not knowing my family affects me day to day from her point of view. And what she thinks I should expect from this journey we are all about to take.
