De kwabaal leeft nog op slechts enkele plekken in Nederland en is afhankelijk van koel, zuurstofrijk water. In de Brabantse beek de Beerze monitort RAVON de soort al jaren via luisteronderzoek. Nu de paaiperiode bijna voorbij is, wil RAVON onderzoeken of de kwabaal zich hier succesvol heeft voortgeplant. RAVON onderzoeker Nymfe van Boekel neemt ons mee in de verborgen wereld van deze bijzondere soort.
