Cuando un niño o una niña atraviesa un proceso oncológico requiere de toda clase de cuidados. Cuidados médicos, por supuesto, pero también psicológicos, nutricionales y físicas. Para los y las más peques, el cuerpo y el movimiento forman una parte esencial de su bienestar y su desarrollo.
Cuando pensamos en oncología pediátrica, rara vez pensamos en una pelota, un juego, una colchoneta, una sesión de movimiento guiado. Y sin embargo, ese otro lado, el de la fisioterapia y el ejercicio físico adaptado, también forma parte del tratamiento. Hoy hablamos de juego, de movimiento, de salud con Borja Recuenco, Gestor de Fisioterapia y Ejercicio Físico de la Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer y experto en fisioterapia oncológica pediátrica.
