About this listen

Day 351 of the Holy Bible One Year CHALLENGE.

In Ezra 1-2:1-67, King Cyrus of Persia allows the Jewish people to return to Jerusalem after being exiled in Babylon. He even helps them rebuild the Temple by returning items taken by the Babylonians. Many Jewish families make the journey back, and they're listed by name in these chapters. It's a time of hope and new beginnings for them as they start rebuilding their lives and their place of worship in Jerusalem.

In Revelation 8-9:1-12, it talks about seven angels with seven trumpets, each causing different events when they blow their trumpets. When the first four angels blow their trumpets, various disasters strike the earth, like hail and fire, a burning mountain falling into the sea, and a star falling on rivers. The fifth angel's trumpet causes a star to fall from heaven, opening a bottomless pit. From this pit, locust-like creatures emerge and torment people who do not have God's mark. These chapters in Revelation are about warnings and judgments during the end times.
