Es ist nur selten offen, meist nur auf Anfrage von Patienten oder Gruppen: Das Psychiatriemuseum Gabersee (bei Wasserburg). Aber am 10. September, dem Tag des offenen Denkmals lohnt es sich, das Museum zu besichtigen. Hier wird eindrucksvoll mit Ausstellungsstücken und einem Vortrag die Geschichte des heutigen Inn-Salzach-Klinikums vermittelt. Dazu widmet sich ein ganzer Raum der Geschichte von Dr. Bernhard von Gudden, der bei der Absetzung von König Ludwig II. eine Rolle spielte. Dass es Gabersee in seiner heutigen Form gibt, ist jedenfalls sein Verdienst. Mehr dazu weiß Wolfgang Schmid, der das Museum federführend betreut.
