 Der Darm ist mehr als die Müllabfuhr unserer Nahrungsreste. Er ist sein eigenes autonomes Nervensystem. Es wird daher auch enterisches Nervensystem oder einfach Bauchhirn genannt. Das Bauchhirn hat ähnlich komplexe Aufgaben wie das Kopfhirn. Es besteht aus ca. 200 Millionen Nervenzellen und das Bauchhirn und Kopfhirn haben identische Botenstoffe. Begeben wir uns in unserer Mitte, auf unsere Darm-Hirn-Achse.
