  • The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992)
    Dec 23 2025

“Christmas is a very busy time for us, Mr. Cratchit. People preparing feasts, giving parties, spending the mortgage money on frivolities. One might say that December is the foreclosure season. Harvest time for the money-lenders.”

It’s nearly Christmas and from both of us we would like to say thank you to everyone for your support throughout the years and 2026 will be another fun year in the land of 80’s Adventure.

This last episode before the end of the year has us venturing to Victorian London with the Muppets and the legendary Sir Michael Caine. So, grab a Baileys and sit by the tree as we break down this take on the greatest story ever told.

  • Miracle on 34th Street (1994)
    Dec 14 2025

“Would it please the court if I gave you your Christmas card? I don't think I'll see you again. Unless I get arrested, which is highly unlikely because it's Christmas Eve and I'm going to bed uncharacteristically early.”

    Ho- Ho - Ho!

Another decade breach this week for Christmas and this week we venture to New York in the 90s for Miracle on 34th Street.

This remake of the 1947 film is fondly remembered by both of us and we hope that it has aged well. Join us to hear our thoughts and ramblings as we keep the festive train going with this one.

    Dec 7 2025

"Get outta here, you nosey little pervert, or I'm gonna slap you silly!"

After nearly a year away we are delighted to be back with a whole bunch of new episodes starting with this Christmas gem.

Yes, it’s the 90’s but 80’s Christmas films are hard to come by and besides, if you can’t decade breach at Christmas when can you?

So, join us as we get lost in New York with Kevin McCallister and try to avoid the Sticky Bandits.

We want to thank you for sticking with us even as we took a year off but there is plenty more to come we assure you, so with that in mind just sit back and enjoy this festive episode of Darren and Matt’s 80’s Adventure.
