Summary

Welcome to "Dad's Night Out", the podcast where fatherhood meets fun, real talk, and a cold brew. Hosted by a group of dads who aren’t afraid to get honest, hilarious, and heartfelt, we dive into everything from parenting and mental health to sports, pop culture, relationships, and the daily juggle of work-life balance.

Each episode is a laid-back, relatable conversation that resonates with modern dads (and moms, too!) looking for connection, laughs, and a little wisdom along the way. Plus, our segment, "Chew & Brew of the Week," features local beers, spirits, ciders, and snacks — giving our audience a taste of what’s good in their neighborhood. We cap it all of with “Dan’s Dad Jokes of the Week”!

  • Episode 22: Cutwater Chaos & Comedy Dreams
    May 6 2026
This week on Dad’s Night Out, the guys kick things off by recognizing FA Awareness Month and why it’s an important cause worth talking about.

Jamie puts himself on the hot seat as he shares his aspirations (and nerves) about trying stand-up comedy—will he actually hit the stage, or is this just another wild dad idea?

For the Brew of the Week, it turns into a full-on Cutwater taste test. The guys sample multiple Cutwater cocktails and give their unfiltered takes—some hit, some definitely miss (looking at you, Piña Colada).

They also dive into a nostalgic conversation about the technology they wish they had growing up, from gaming to gadgets, and how different life might’ve been.

To close things out, they bring back the Dad Joke segment—because no episode is complete without a few eye-rolls and solid groaners.

Crack open a drink and hang with us for another real, funny, and relatable episode of Dad’s Night Out!

  • Episode 21: Over the Rainbow... And Into the Chaos
    Apr 22 2026
Episode 21 of Dad’s Night Out is here, and we’re covering a little bit of everything this week.

We kick things off with our Brew of the Week — the Berry Sneaky Sour from Hamburg Brewing Company — and let’s just say it sets the tone early.

From there, we talk about our daughters taking the stage in The Wizard of Oz and all the fun (and chaos) that comes with youth theater life. Then we shift gears into a real dad rant — diving into the frustrations around youth sports in our town. We break down how we feel the town, Youth leagues, and even the school district are dropping the ball when it comes to supporting kids and building strong programs.

We also get into the current state of sports coverage, calling out ESPN and even WWE for letting ads take over and cut into the actual action — because nothing kills the moment like a commercial at the worst time.

As always, we wrap things up the only way we know how… with some classic Dad Jokes.

Grab a drink, pull up a chair, and join us for another night out.

  • Episode 20: We Made It!
    Apr 8 2026
We made it—Episode 20! 🍻 This week, the guys take a step back to reflect on the journey so far. From the early days of figuring things out behind the mic to finding our groove, we talk about what we thought this podcast would be… and what it’s become.

Along the way, we share some honest takes on the highs, the surprises, and the moments that made it all worth it. Whether you’ve been with us since Episode 1 or just jumped in, this one’s a look behind the curtain at how Dad’s Night Out came together.

We also drop what might be our most important segment yet—our best “Dad Advice” for any new or soon-to-be dads out there. The kind of stuff we wish we knew earlier (and maybe still forget sometimes).
This week’s Brew of the Week comes courtesy of the always-unpredictable Wild Card, so you know it’s going to be interesting.

And of course, we close things out the only way we know how… with some classic (and probably questionable) Dad Jokes.

Grab a drink, pull up a chair, and join us for Episode 20. 🍺
