Cassie Carli’s body was found in a shallow grave in an Alabama barn after meeting Marcus, the father of their child, for a child custody exchange in April of 2022. Her family court case spanned the entirety of her child's life. She begged for relief with the courts over and over, and her attempt at an injunction for protection was dismissed.
