About this listen

Having read "The Rape of the Mind" by Joost Verloo I was simply unhappy with conceptualising cult members as people who are simply the victims of brainwashing. So I kept my notes from this intelligent book written in 1956. But I also read sociological and philosophical text books, read tonnes of articles and a book or two about cults. This helped me to formulate a clearer idea of what is going on for members of cults. I see cults as being in the grip of a spiritual-bio-psycho-social prison. In this podcast I explore my theory of cults, sects and NRMS. Go give it a listen.
