En estos tiempos en que estamos necesitados de buenos ejemplos que demuestren la utilidad de la Filosofía, en particular del movimiento estoico, propongo una mirada a los gobernantes que tuvieron como consejeros a los filósofos, o ellos mismos lo fueron. Me centraré en unos cuantos ejemplos del mundo greco romano y algunos más, pues pretendo animar a que otros se sumen a esta búsqueda, para poder comprobar si es posible aplicar el dictum platónico de que los males solo acabarían en las ciudades cuando los gobernantes fueran filósofos, o los filósofos llegaran a gobernar.
