• Zechariah 9:9-11 | The Coming King Who Saves
    Dec 21 2025
Preacher: Jeremiah Fyffe Zechariah 9:9-11 THE HOPE OF A NEW GENERATION THE VICTORY OF THE KING THE KING ENTERS HIS HOUSE THE DAY OF CONQUEST IS COMING Zechariah 1:4 (ESV) Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, Return from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ 1 Samuel 8:19–20 (ESV) “No! But there shall be a king over us, that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.” Mark 10:45 (ESV) For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 11:11 ESV And he entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. And when he had looked around at everything, as it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve. Matthew 26:28 (ESV) for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. Ian Duguid The blood that would be shed to bring us peace was his blood. The righteous King had to die in place of his unrighteous followers, the Good Shepherd in place of his unfaithful flock, so that God could accomplish his eternal purposes. Revelation 19:11–16 (ESV) Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

  • Habakkuk 1:12-2:4 | A Living Hope and Faith
    Dec 14 2025
Preacher: Jeremiah Fyffe Habakkuk 1:12-2:4 HABAKKUK’S COMPLAINTS AND THE LORD’S ANSWERS HOW DO THE RIGHTEOUS LIVE? WHAT DOES FAITH LOOK LIKE? STRENGTH AND JOY! FIVE IMPLICATIONS The prophets help us to wait with final judgement in view. Faith rejects self-reliance, self-preservation. The Lord calls us to repent and believe. The Lord is your strength. The Lord is your joy. Faith is the unshakable posture of those waiting for the kingdom, for the security and peace of the King, in the meantime. Achtemeier Habakkuk is a book for all faithful people, of whatever era, who find themselves living “in the meantime”—in the time between the revelation of the promises of God and the fulfillment of those promises—in the time between their redemption, when God made his purposes clear, and the final time when that divine purpose will be realized in all the earth. As such, Habakkuk is a book from faith for faith. Romans 1:18 (ESV) For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. Romans 3:10 (ESV) None is righteous, no, not one; Romans 4:5 (ESV) And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness,

THE PROMISED RULER THE RULER HAS COME THE ERROR OF THOSE WHO MISSED HIS COMING JESUS SHEPHERDS HIS FLOCK Micah 2:1 (ESV) Woe to those who devise wickedness and work evil on their beds! Micah 4:8 (ESV) And you, O tower of the flock, hill of the daughter of Zion, to you shall it come, the former dominion shall come, kingship for the daughter of Jerusalem. 2 Kings 25:7 (ESV) They slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and put out the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him in chains and took him to Babylon. Luke 2:11 (ESV) For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 1:30–33 (ESV) And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 2:30–32 (ESV) for my eyes have seen your salvation that you have prepared in the presence of all peoples, a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and for glory to your people Israel.” John 10:11, 14 (ESV) I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, Matthew 2:5–6 (ESV) They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for so it is written by the prophet: “ ‘And you, O Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who will shepherd my people Israel.’ ” Galatians 4:4–5 (ESV) But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman … so that we might receive adoption as sons.

THE LORD WILL RAISE UP DAVID’S HOUSE THE LORD WILL RESTORE THE FORTUNES OF ISRAEL 5 IMPLICATIONS Judgement is swift and sure. Redemption is the Work of God Alone Redemption Passes Through Judgment Redemption is Abundant Grace The Lord is Still Gathering the Nations Deuteronomy 30:1–3 (ESV) And when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the Lord your God has driven you, and return to the Lord your God, you and your children, and obey his voice in all that I command you today, with all your heart and with all your soul, then the Lord your God will restore your fortunes and have mercy on you, and he will gather you again from all the peoples where the Lord your God has scattered you. Amos 1:11-12 (ESV) Thus says the Lord: “For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because he pursued his brother with the sword and cast off all pity, and his anger tore perpetually, and he kept his wrath forever. So I will send a fire upon Teman, and it shall devour the strongholds of Bozrah.” Acts 15:21 (ESV) For from ancient generations Moses has had in every city those who proclaim him, for he is read every Sabbath in the synagogues. Amos 3:11 (ESV) _An adversary shall surround the land and bring down your defenses from you _ Amos 5:3 (ESV) The city that went out a thousand shall have a hundred left, and that which went out a hundred shall have ten left to the house of Israel. Amos 7:11 (ESV) Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel must go into exile away from his land. Amos 4:9 (ESV) I struck you with blight and mildew; your many gardens and your vineyards, your fig trees and your olive trees the locust devoured; Hebrews 12:28–13:1 (ESV) Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire. Psalm 16:11 (ESV) You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Genesis 12:3 (ESV) I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Ephesians 2:11–13 (ESV) Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh … remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:15–16 (ESV) … that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. Ephesians 3:6 (ESV) This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. Ephesians 1:13–14 (ESV) In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory. Ephesians 1:21 (ESV) … far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 1 Timothy 6:17–19 (ESV) As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

James 5:7–20 | Be Patient, Therefore from CrossPointe Coast on Vimeo.

PATIENCE BE PATIENT UNTIL THE COMING OF THE LORD 2 Thessalonians 1:4–8 THE FARMER WAITS DO NOT GRUMBLE DO NOT SWEAR James 1:3–4 (ESV) for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. Philippians 1:6 (ESV) And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Thomas Manton In meditation argue thus: If a husbandman, upon ordinary principles of reason, can wait for the harvest, shall not I wait for the coming of the Lord, the day of refreshing? The corn is precious to him, and so is the coming of Christ to me; shall he be so patient, and endure so much for a little corn, and not I for the kingdom of heaven? He is willing to stay till all causes have had their operation, and he hath received the former and the latter rain; and shall not I till the divine decrees be accomplished? We cannot sow and reap in a day; effects cannot follow till all necessary causes have first wrought: it is not in the power of the husbandman to ripen fruits at pleasure; our times are in the hands of God; therefore it is good to wait; a long-suffering patience will reap the desired fruits, Psalm 27:1 (ESV) The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Psalm 27:14 (ESV) Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! 1 Peter 5:10 (ESV) And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. 1 Peter 5:10 (ESV) And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. Galatians 5:15 (ESV) But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another. Thomas Manton The strictest and severest ways are not impossible, nor untrodden; that which hath been may be done. James 4:14 (ESV) yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.
