No where does this become more apparent then when we live within a different culture and are forced to examine our cultural assumptions on a daily basis.
In this episode, I interview Elizabeth Newcamp, co-host of the Slate podcast Mom and Dad are Fighting. Elizabeth shares her experience living three years in the Netherlands and how it deeply changed her as a parent. So much of discussing another culture involves examining our own, so this interview also centers on looking into our own cultural beliefs, particularly with regards to parenting. As a fellow homeschooling mom, Elizabeth also shares with us her homeschooling journey, and how it fundamentally changed based on her experiences abroad.
