Craig lives by the Japanese proverb, “Fall down seven times, stand up eight.” Despite the difficult times, he was in, he knew that the opportunity to succeed in entrepreneurship was still there. As long as he kept standing up, he would never fail. The days when he had the desire to give up and stay in bed were the moments that defined Craig as a person.
His secret to compelling himself forward was gratitude. Even at his lowest, Craig would number the good things in his life, such as his family, his house, and the food they ate. This practice helped him see the small successes he had every day.
