About this listen
In our second episode, we speak to award-winning journalist, author and diversity advocate Antoinette Lattouf about her personal experience with perinatal depression.
Despite being a common condition, depression after birth can feel, to many people, like a taboo and vulnerable subject matter. In opening up about her personal experience on episode two of It Takes Boobs, Lattouf is helping to break down these taboos and create a safe space for women to feel less alone.
In conversation with Tarla Lambert, the two reflect on what it’s like to feel differently to what mothers are told they’re “supposed” to feel as well as the power of a support network when it comes to managing mental health issues.
