L’ensemble esplora la Spagna del medioevo, Istanbul e il Marocco fino alla musica della diaspora sefardita. Molti musicisti di area medioevale e rinascimentale si sono poi avvicinati alle tradizioni musicali del Mediterraneo. Invece Constantinople segue il percorso inverso, dal Mediterraneo al primo Barocco italiano. Il loro album La porta d’Oriente ci apre a un mondo sconosciuto di relazioni tra la musica del primo Barocco italiano e quella del Serraglio di Istanbul.
