Die 19-jährige mit den aschblonden Haaren hat ihr Abitur bestanden und eine Stelle bei der Bundeswehr bekommen. Sie wird Sanitätsoffiziersanwärterin bei der Marine und darf sechs Wochen lang auf dem Ausbildungsschiff, der Gorch Fock, lernen. Jenny ist knapp einen Monat lang auf hoher See, als sie eines Abends ihre Schicht mit einer Kollegin tauscht und den Posten Ausguck bezieht. Von diesem Posten wird sie nie wieder zurückkehren.
