From there, the Lord took him on a remarkable path, serving a mission in Eastern Canada with almost no gospel background and a setting apart by Elder Thomas S. Monson, driving his way through college after boldly declaring, I'm a drummer before he'd ever played a beat. Meeting his wife, Linda, in a community production of The Sound of Music and then riding the roller coaster of a real estate career where he says he became a millionaire in nine years and a pauper in the tenth four different times.
