Your Body of Sin has Been Destroyed: Every Christian has been spiritually circumcised (through baptism into Christ) & their body of sin has been destroyed (Romans 6:6). Christians still have sinful flesh, but that flesh is not them anymore. Consequently, Christians do not have to keep the Law in order to remain righteous or holy before God

It is for freedom that Christ set you free. A Christian has received all spiritual blessings in Christ, simply by having faith in Christ, not by doing works. Therefore, a Christian is free from the Law

How to stop sinning is what most Christians want to know after trying to stop regarding a particular sin and then failing over and over again. In Romans 6, the Apostle Paul says that the way to not let sin reign in you is to not put yourself under the law. Since the law is the power of sin, then staying away from the law means that sin won't wont reign. To stay away from the law you need to reckon yourself dead to sin, so that you know that the sin in your flesh is no longer you & consequently you don't need to try to keep it under control (by putting yourself under the law)

To be a mature Christian is to not let sin reign in your body/be obedient to God. In Romans 6:14-17, the Apostle Paul declares that if you stand upon the righteousness of God, instead of putting yourself under the Law, then sin will not reign in you & you will be obedient to God

All Christians have died to the Law through their death and resurrection with Christ. This happened at conversion and means that Christians can't legally sin before God. In Galatians Chapter 2, the Apostle Paul confirms this truth which he later declares is the source of a Christians freedom in Christ.
