We give our kids a gift when we encourage reading.
Isn't it ironic, for most of history the books were only for boys and men. Writing and imagination on pages were only for boys and men. Men were the only authors.
Now, somehow, for some unknown reason we have destroyed the relationship boys and young men have with books and imagination. What an terrible thing we have done for our children!
Do what you can, Luke, to bring it back especially for the boys and young men. They derive just as much benefit from the joy of reading as girls and women do.
